How a simple youth initiative transformed into a structured ecosystem since 2017.
What began in 2017 as a simple youth-driven initiative gradually evolved into a growing movement built around one belief — that communities can rise when young people are given purpose, opportunity, and platforms to express their talents.
In the heart of local communities, sports became more than entertainment. Football fields became meeting grounds for unity. Culture became a language of identity. Creativity became a pathway for hope. From these realities, SCORSE was born — not simply as an organization, but as a vision for community transformation through youth engagement, culture, leadership, and development.
As the vision grew, the need for a larger platform became evident. This led to the creation of the SAMBA Championship — a community-centered football and cultural movement designed to unite villages, celebrate traditions, and showcase local talent.
What made SAMBA unique was its spirit. It was never just about competition. It became an atmosphere where football, traditional dances, entertainment, local arts, music, innovation, and community pride all came together under one experience.
Villages gathered not only to compete, but to reconnect. Young people found confidence and visibility. Families found celebration. Communities found identity and unity. Over the years, SAMBA evolved into one of the ecosystem's strongest symbols of youth empowerment and cultural expression.
Since its creation, the movement has continued to expand its reach and influence across communities. Through sports activities, cultural events, youth participation, partnerships, and community engagement, the ecosystem has impacted lives by creating opportunities for expression, collaboration, learning, leadership, and social connection.
As the movement expanded, one thing became increasingly clear: communities needed more than events alone. There was a growing need for spaces that encouraged human connection, hospitality, networking, comfort, wellbeing, and continuous engagement beyond tournament seasons.
This reality inspired the creation of Home Sweet Home — a people-centered initiative focused on creating welcoming experiences and strengthening the social and emotional side of the ecosystem. Home Sweet Home became an extension of the community spirit born through SAMBA — transforming moments of gathering into lasting experiences of belonging, warmth, culture, and togetherness.
With increasing growth came the need for sustainability, innovation, and long-term economic empowerment. This led to the emergence of SCORSE Ventures — the enterprise and development arm of the ecosystem.
Focused on entrepreneurship, agriculture, media, technology, branding, vocational empowerment, industrial projects, and innovation, SCORSE Ventures was created to build systems capable of supporting both community initiatives and future expansion. Its vision is to create opportunities that move beyond temporary activities into lasting structures capable of empowering generations.
Today, the ecosystem continues to grow toward a larger vision — expanding into new sectors, new communities, and new opportunities for African youth and development. The vision is no longer limited to organizing events. It is becoming a complete ecosystem for community transformation, youth empowerment, culture, enterprise, and sustainable African development.
Future expansion plans include:
To transform communities through sports, culture, innovation, leadership, and sustainable development — empowering young people, strengthening communities, and promoting African creativity and excellence through impactful initiatives and long-term development programs.
Connecting people, communities, and visions across all divisions under one single identity.
Creating real, measurable, and sustainable change in the lives of African youth and communities.
Building scalable systems for long-term development far beyond temporary seasons or events.
Join our growing ecosystem as we build long-term development hubs, secure youth resources, and power regional African talent.
